Enville Ale is light in colour with fruity notes and a hint of sweetness to compliment the dry hoppy taste. Makes 40 pints at 4.5%. PLEASE NOTE: You will also need 345g clear honey to make this kit.
This is a partial mash kit that makes 40 pints of beer. This is a step up from standard kits and just under a full mash beer. You will need a large saucepan ideally holding at least 10 litres. To make this kit you will need to steep the grains and boil the hops in the saucepan. The hops are added at various stages throughout the boiling process. Hops added at the start of the boil give the beer the bitterness. Hops added at the later stages will give the beer the aroma.
This kit contains
- 3.5Kg liquid malt extract
- Malted grains
- Auxillary finings
- Isinglass finings
- Pure Brew Sachet
- Muslin bag
The hops are weighed out into bags to clearly marked. Following the simple instructions you add them at certain stages in the boil to achieve the correct bitterness and aroma for the style of beer.
Once in the fermenting vessel, the beer is made like any other kit. You do not need to add any sugar for fermenting, but you will need some for the priming of the barrel or bottles.
